New North East Landscape Photography website.

07th December 2011

Well, I felt it was time for the North East to stop hiding its light underneath its post-industrial bushel! So I created Emerson Landscapes - a website dedicated to showing off our region in its best light (literally!).

Other than The Angel of the North, Hadrian's Wall, Roseberry Topping and Gateshead Quayside, it's not often that we see landscape photography in the North East promoted. This is all about to change! I'd love to see new corporate art on the walls of Newcastle's offices - not just the usual view of the bridges at sunset (lovely though the sight is), but all the wonderful variations of our region. And these images aren't just for businesses - some have already been sold to householders looking for a split canvas wrap triptych above the fireplace.

And although the new website will concentrate on Sunderland, Newcastle, Northumberland and the NE in general, I take my camera everywhere, so you can also expect to see everything from Cornwall to the Scottish Highlands and Islands - I have family on the Isle of Skye, so it's only natural that a fair few images of that fair isle will creep in!

Please do take a moment to look round the site, and feel free to let me know what you think!
